Halloween Convention

Now here is something that is really cool: a convention celebrating 30 Years of Halloween Films.

Honestly, the success of the Halloween franchise truly shocks me. While Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street basically fizzled away (other than the Jason vs. Freddy mega hit) the Halloween films have pretty much done far better then anyone expected. H20 and Rob Zombie's Halloween remake earned in excess of $50 million (BTW – where the hell is the greenlight for a Halloween 2 remake???) making the Halloween series among the most successful horror franchises ever.

This is not the first Halloween convention as there was one 5 years ago as well. Hopefully, this one will be a hit and there will be another after this. Also, let's hope there is another film made in the future too. Which, of course, there will be eventually as we all know.

The convention will be held Oct 31 – Nov 2 in Pasadena
