Sweeney Todd

You really must give Johnny Depp a lot of credit as he has long since established himself as a great actor who has a tremendous amount of range as evidenced by many of his past roles as well as his upcoming role in the new Tim Burton adaptation of the classic Sweeney Todd musical concept. (visit the official Sweeney Todd movie site) Personally, my fav Johnny Depp performances were in Pirates of the Caribean as well as Edward Scissorhands. The characters that he played are incredibly different and this clearly shows that he has awesome range. I always dug how he delivered his lines in Pirates of the Caribbean but the subtle silent movements of Edward Scissorhands was additionally brilliant and appealing. This is why I am looking forward greatly to his new classic Sweeney Todd. Yes, I am very sure that it will definitely be a classic as Depp always delivers on his performances and that is why he has become the major star that he is. This will also be a unique performance because Johnny Depp will also be showing off his singing talents as well.( visit Sweeney Todd on MySpace) This should definitely make this film one to most definitely look forward to! The film opens on December 21.

The Third Yorga Film

Here is a bit of trivia some of you might not be familiar with: believe it or not there were plans for a third Yorga film on at least twice. The first was a silly concept of Yorga meets Blacula. This was thought about for five seconds and then dismissed. The next was in 1980 when Quarry came up with a script where Yorga is brought back to life and lives among the homeless. Unfortunately, Quarry and the producers didn't see eye to eye so the project was scrapped. Incidentally, Quarry was original asked to play a recurring vampire character in the Nightstalker TV series but AIP would not share him as they had an exclusive contract

My Bloody Valentine Trailer and TV Spots

A while back I made a few entries about the very cool lost (and horrible hack edited/censored) 1981 horror film MY BLOODY VALENTINE. While the edited and lost footage has yet to be released these old theatrical trailers and TV spots have turned up. The TV spot is not the incredibly cool one that I remember as a kid but it does an effective job of getting the funky looking killer over as a new horror star. The movie did do $5 million at the box office but it wasn't enough to spawn any sequels. Well, there is a sequel in development now as well as a remake. I guess 26 years later is better than never.

Surf Expo

There is a reason why surfing remains one of the most popular cult sports in the world today: it is a lot of fun. Sure, surfing may have started out as a novel way of getting from point a to point b, but it is now one of the cooler "X sports" on the world scene. (Actually, it has been popular for many decades it is just that the mainstream is once again becoming aware of it thanks to cable TV exposure) Anyway….if you wish to learn more about the world of surfing and its goings on then you want to check out SurfExpo.com. This is a solid online community that covers a multitude of surfing issues as well as related sports such as skateboarding et al. The website is sponsored by the Surf Expo which is the solid surf trade show that is held 2x a year in Orlando. What is really great about this site is that it provides solid up to date info on what is going on in the surfing world along with a viable resource for surfing related equipment and items. Additionally, there is some great video footage on the site as well as great "blogging" as well. This is a solid online community that is great to be a part of. Please check it out! Sponsored post

A New Member of Werewolves on TV

Yes, I have uncovered another guest appearance of a werewolf on television. Believe it or not, it was an episode of the excellent Highway to Heaven series that saw Michael Landon parody his run from I WAS A TEENAGE WEREWOLF and 'terrorized' Victor French in a humorous manner. This was a fun and oddball Halloween episode that underscored the fact that Highway to Heaven was one of the more underrated family television programs of the 1980's. Also, it was nice to see Landon embrace his Teenage Werewolf run. It was always reported he was embarrassed about it, but this would make no sense considering the fact that Teenage Werewolf was hardly a bad film. It was well written and scary and a classic of the genre. Apparently, Mr. Landon agreed.

Massage Chairs

Therapeutic massage has always remained a somewhat curious subject mainly because people are not entirely familiar with what it entails. Of course, there are those who rave about it and their recommendations have led to the popularity of massage and massage related items such as the HT 7450 Zero Gravity Massage Chair. Recommended by the American College of Chiropractic Orthopedists this is a thoroughly amazing member of the Massage Chairsworld that can greatly provide the physical therapy and reduction of mental stress that massages promise. Additionally, it can do so in the comfort of your home at any time of your choosing. Clearly, that is a great benefit and this is a great massage chair. Sponsored post

Count Yorga Trailers

It is surprising to me that I did not mention anything about Count Yorga on this blog particularly since the two Count Yorga films were among my fav horror films. I think I watched both films a jillion times over the years so I will put together a unique look at the series, but until then here is a clip of the trailers to the films:

sports Betting

Have you ever skimmed the internet and come across a number of different online sportsbooks and casinos and wondered which one to take your business. In a way, there is a lot of choice and then there is very little choice. That is to say, the sheer volume of online casinos out there can make for a difficult selection as it can be difficult to distinguish many of these casinos apart. Of course, upon close examination it becomes obvious which online casino is the solid choice and it is Bet365: a sincere and solid online wagering establishment that can provide for all your betting wants and needs. It also has great payouts and that is always a major plus when it comes to putting your money down. After all, you do not bet to lose so why not select a solid football betting establishment that has your best interests at heart? This is the online casino choice for you so check it out.

Assignment Terror Clips

Readers of this blog know I am a hug fan of the 1970 crackpot Paul Naschy film ASSIGNMENT TERROR so when I came across these clips you know I needed to share them...with glee
